In the Kyiv Archetypal Theatre's production, the director searches for an actress for the lead role in the staging of the scandalously famous novel by Leopold von Sacher-Masoch. He needs an intelligent, aristocratic, and sexy woman who can convincingly embody a complex character.

But among the many candidates, he cannot find the right one. And then 'another contender appears: chewing gum, surzhik, brazen behavior. It would seem she absolutely does not fit the image. Yet the director somehow agrees to give her a chance, personally embodying the main character of the production during the casting. Thus begins a game in which the boundaries between theatrical characters and real people gradually blur.

A game on the edge of love and power
