We invite Kyiv residents and city guests to a unique meeting of classical music with the energy of jazz – concert “Evening of sympho-jazz” at the Youth Pavilion “Kyiv Rose”. A fantastic location under a transparent glass roof, a warm September evening, light effects and the masterful sound of one of the best symphony orchestras of Ukraine will help you forget about everyday life for some time and fully immerse yourself in music.

When classical meets jazz freedom

The program «Evening of sympho-jazz” is built on the combination of academic musical tradition and the freedom of jazz improvisation. Performed by the Orchestra of the Honored Academic Song and Dance Ensemble of the Armed Forces of Ukraine under the direction of conductor Dmytro Morozov, well-known compositions of different eras and styles will be played:

  • Scott Joplin ragtime (“The Entertainer” and others);
  • the legendary “Yesterday” by Paul McCartney;
  • modern ballads by John Legend (“All of Me”, “Love Me Now”, “Tonight”).

This is far from the complete list of musical works that will be performed this evening. They will receive a new unique sound thanks to large-scale orchestral arrangements.

Sympho-jazz in Kyiv: an evening of music under the starry sky

In the very heart of the capital, among centuries-old trees and cozy park alleys, there is the “Kyiv Rose” pavilion – a space where history, architecture, and music create a special atmosphere. The transparent roof of this location will allow the evening light to penetrate the hall, and when darkness falls, it will create the effect of being right under the starry sky. The light show will complement the music and emphasize its mood, turning the orchestra's performance into a complete audiovisual event.

This evening you will experience classical grandeur, jazz expression, cinematic dramaturgy and nostalgic motifs that will be 'united into one musical story where each composition will open from a new side. Leave everyday life behind the door and come to the concert “Evening of sympho-jazz”!
