We invite you to visit the Jellyfish Museum in Kyiv – a unique project that has no analogues in Ukraine. In the very heart of the capital, near the “Maidan Nezalezhnosti” metro station, visitors can immerse themselves in the amazing underwater world and see some of the most mysterious inhabitants of the ocean – jellyfish.
Live jellyfish and exciting discoveries
Jellyfish – are delicate, mysterious, and incredibly beautiful creatures that have existed on Earth for over 600 million years. Their smooth movements, transparent forms, and soft illumination create an almost meditative atmosphere that captivates both children and adults.
The Jellyfish Museum features various species of jellyfish that enchant with their appearance and size:
- Arctic cyaney, or “lion's mane”;
- Japanese sea nettle;
- spotted;
- marble;
- brown;
- sand and many others.
Each of these incredible creatures has its own story and interesting features. The exotic collection of live jellyfish is constantly updated due to their short life cycle.
A place where nature fascinates
The Kyiv Jellyfish Museum – is not just an exhibition but a true scientific and educational space where the beauty of nature, science, and modern technologies combine. Besides observing the creatures in aquariums simulating their natural habitat, guests can watch a scientific film and examine microscopic ’objects. Also, thanks to interactive stands, you have the opportunity to learn about the jellyfish life cycle, their feeding, reproduction, sleep, and even hunting methods.

В музеї ви можете подивиться науковий фільм, глянути у мікроскоп, дізнатися (і побачити) цікаві факти про цикл життя медуз, їх харчування, розмноження, сон та полювання.
Тут можна побачити медузу «левова грива», буру та мармурову медузу, японську морську кропиву, піщану медузу, плямисту медузу та інших. Колекція медуз в музеї постійно оновлюється через короткий життєвий цикл цих морських тварин.
