We invite you to watch the emotional play “Vis-a-Vis” directed by NADT. It is a captivating story about two loners who accidentally met to feel true understanding even for a moment. The production is dedicated to the anniversary of the People's Artist of Ukraine Lidia Yaremchuk, who performs one of the main roles, giving the play special depth and emotional power.

A conversation that changes more than it seems

The play “Vis-a-Vis” – is a poignant melodrama for two actors based on the work of contemporary Canadian playwright Norman Foster. The plot centers on two people who at first seem completely different: a writer and his housekeeper. But one ordinary evening unexpectedly turns into an open conversation where the most secret feelings, memories, and unfulfilled dreams are revealed.

In fact, “Vis-a-Vis” has a very simple but such a life-true story. Two lonely people, each with their own losses, fears, and unfulfilled desires. But chance allows them to start speaking truly. Without masks, without social roles, without usual bar’riers. The writer and his housekeeper gradually open to each other what usually remains deep inside.

A story about sincerity, loneliness, and human closeness

The play “Vis-a-Vis” is filled with subtle humor that does not entertain for the sake of laughter but helps to feel the bitter truth even deeper. It reminds how difficult it is to be heard in a world where everyone is in a hurry and rarely stops to truly see the person next to them.

The director of the production, Hryhor Mane, emphasizes that the main idea of the play – is to be more attentive to those around us because these people may turn out to be much deeper, kinder, and more important than it seems at first. And Lidia Yaremchuk notes that this story is valuable precisely for its honesty – it does not promise a happy ending but leaves behind something much more important: a feeling of true human closeness.
